Welcome to PASCAL International Observatory
PASCAL is an independent not-for-profit international observatory which aims to promote the exchange of cutting edge best practice research, ideas and policies about place management including regeneration and new growth areas, social capital and learning regions.
PASCAL responds to the growing international demand from cities, regional governments and other clients for expertise which can be quickly mobilised to support the development and assessment of initiatives relating to place and enhance social cohesion and inclusion, the role of learning in innovation, and development and governance.
PASCAL aims to connect the growing communities of practitioners and scholars in its fields of interest across the world in an innovative policy, practice and research alliance.
People
PASCAL operates through nodes based in the RMIT University in Australia, the University of Glasgow in the UK, and the University of Northern Illinois in the USA. It maintains some 60 accredited experts in its fields of interest around the world. Further information on our people is available here.
